System Requirements
AutoMenus Pro 3.5.1 requires the following:
1. A MacPlus or better Macintosh™ computer
2. System 7.0 or later (including System 8.0)
3. Color capable machine and a PowerPC processor for custom menu cursors
Installation Notes
Before installing AutoMenus Pro 3.5, be sure you remove any previous copies of AutoMenus Pro.
AutoMenus Pro and the PowerPC
AutoMenus Pro is optimized for both PowerPC and 68K machines.

Finding the Latest Version
To find the latest version of AutoMenus Pro, you can access our web site at http://www.nlsoftware.com where we always keep the latest version available.
How To Enter Your Keycode
To enter your keycode once you've registered, open the AutoMenus Pro Control Panel which should be located inside your Control Panels Folder. When opened, the AutoMenus Pro registration box will be displayed automatically on non-registered copies. Enter your name and keycode EXACTLY as they appear on your invoice from us.
Compatibility
You may find that AutoMenus Pro is more compatible with some applications when running on a Power Mac vice a 68K machine. This is because extra compatibility steps are possible on the PPC platform which are just not available for 68K machines.
Applications which are mainly affected are those which perform some "spiffy" menu stuff by patching one or more of the menu system vectors.
Where did my custom menu cursors go?
On machines based on the 68000 family of processors, custom menu cursors are no longer available. As the number of registered users which use machines with 68000 processors decreases, we will steadily move away from the architecture ourselves. This allows us to concentrate more on features than on cross compatibility.
If the demand is high enough, we might include the ability to have black and white menu cursors on these machines again, or possibly spend the development time to have color cursors.
Using Fax Software With AutoMenus Pro
If you are using fax software with AutoMenus Pro which changes the Print options in the File menu when you hold down a certain modifier key, you may need to change the load order so that AutoMenus Pro loads after your fax software to ensure 100% compatibility.
To change the load order, rename "AutoMenus Pro" to "~AutoMenus Pro". This will force AutoMenus Pro to load last, after your fax software has already loaded.
Other than the above required procedure, AutoMenus Pro is fully compatible with all fax software.
NOTE: The above steps may not be necessary with version 3.5. Test your fax software before changing the load order.
PopupChar Lite
AutoMenus Pro is currently compatible with the latest version of PopupChar Lite. However, you must set PopChar to install it's System Menu and access it from there. PopChar and AutoMenus Pro will not work together if you have PopChar set to activate on a "hot spot".
Also, once you access the PopChar menu, the cursor will be changed to a standard pointer instead of AutoMenus's custom cursor.
